The Cabins

Amentities

All of the Cabins are either on the MVSTA Sports Trail or a very close to it (100 yd.s). Walking, biking and horses are allowed but no motorized vehicles. Wifi internet access is provided. There is a fully equipped kitchen including gas ranges w/ovens & microwaves in all of the accommodations. The Laundry House and Cabin have dishwashers and DVD players. The Guest Cabin, Studio Cottage and Duplex Units have 12" T.V.'s w/VCR Tapes. All of the cabins have Blue Tooth docking stations for streaming music.

There is a Recycle/Trash Shed that also has a wax bench and local phone for everyones use. In this shed you can also find 2 small Bar-b-que's for use. One is electric the other propane. Please return them clean for others to use if you won't be. There's usually a couple plastic sleds in the shed, some beach chairs and coolers also. If you are staying for an extended period there is a washer and dryer available when not being used by the cleaning staff.

The Mazama Store is just about a mile west of the cabins via the MVSTA Trail or Goat Creek Rd. It is open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. . A great Deli and more. The baguettes are to die for. They sell out regularly. There is also another bicycle/beer shop just getting started next to the MVSTA Coral parking lot. Kelly's Wesola Polana Restaurant on Hwy. 20 is also close and serves a great breakfast and tasty dinners.

12 miles to the east you can find everything from fishing licenses to a fantastic Brewery in the town of Winthrop. There are 3 sporting goods stores, hardware and lumber sales and a grocery store. You have to drive by Sheri's Ice Cream & Candy Store to get to them.

Gas is available at the Mazama Store (24 hours with credit card), and also in Winthrop.

Verizon Cellular service is the best. AT&T works but very spotty.

Mazama Trails Cabin is very unique with detailed use of natural materials collected locally. This cabin has it's own Washer & Dryer and the kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher. There is also a phone for local calls and T.V. for use w/DVD Player or streaming through the internet. With a queen bed in the bedroom, full size sleeping pad in the loft (ladder access only) and twin day bed in the living room this cabin can sleep up to 5 people. The bathroom off the bedroom is equipped with a claw foot bathtub. The second bathroom has a shower. There are also 2 covered decks that face Flag Mt. and the MVSTA sports trail.

The Laundry House has a carport and attached laundry room that is used occasionally between 12 and 3 p.m. by cleaning personnel. There is a lockable door between the house and laundry room.This cabin has fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The bedroom has a queen bed and the living area has a full size hide a bed and twin day bed so this cabin can also sleep 5 people. There is a covered back porch and picnic table in front. Also equipped with a propane fired wood stove, huge windows and 9' ceilings throughout. T.V. for use w/DVD or Internet streaming.

The Duplex is 2 side by side units that are small but very efficient. With a king bed in the bedroom and full size hide a bed in the kitchen/living area both these units work well for couples & small families. The kitchens are fully equipped and there is also a small T.V./VCR with tapes in each unit. These units also have small covered decks.

The Guest Cabin is very small and very practical. If you are looking for an affordable place to base out of this is it. There is a queen bed on the main floor and a full size sleeping pad in the loft accessed by a ladder. This arrangement works well for 1 or 2 people. The wood used to finish this cabin is recycled lumber collected from various parts of the state. It is located on the MVSTA sports trail, has a covered porch and also a small T.V. w/VCR.

The Studio Cottage is a very comfortable and practical place for a couple to spend time. It has a queen bed, fully equipped kitchen and 2 recliners to sit and enjoy your evening infront of the propane fired wood stove. There is also a large covered porch with an excellent view of the Flag Mt. launch site for para gliders. This cottage also has a small T.V. w/VCR.
